Daisy Doodles - Card Kits

Here is a card I made using one of the Card Kits by Daisy Doodles .

I love using kits, you can use the elements and mix and match them with your stash!

I have used some Coredinations card for the base. The card kit used is number 3.
I added a sentiment, ribbon, a button and some fab liquid pearls!
The colours in this kit are beautiful and I love the flowers.
If you have never used a card kit before give it a go!

The Wine Buffs

I brought the Wine Buffs CD from Create and Craft months ago! I saw it at the weekend and thought I'd have a play.

I printed out one of the cartoons, you get 2 on the same page, one large and one small.

I made 2 cards using the same images and colours but different layouts.

The images are great for Men's cards.

I have used one of Daisy Doodles card kits. It's card kit number 1.

Beautiful pink! I did distress it though lol. All the elements used expect the ribbon, brown backing paper and the "thank you" are from the kit. Bargain! I also added a little glitter to the folowers, butterflys and hearts.

Little Dog

Here is a little card I made using a very cute dog by Daisy Doodles

I used the grand nesties to cut out the top on the card and a Martha Stewart punch for the bottom.
The image is coloured with Promarkers. I added some ribbon and gems for some bling.
Finished off with some flowers and a Happy Birthday stamp.

It's Tuesday! That means Tabu time at Daisy Doodles .

For my free week card this week I have used "No Place Like Home"

The Bird House has been coloured using Promarkers. I have used Nesties for the shape of the card.

I have stamped around the base card and used distress inks of the very base of the card. I have used Liquid pearls around the base and then sprinkled on some gold glitter.

I added a button as the buffer. This is a simple but happy sparkly card!

The theme is Layer it up! I have used the wonderful image called Elle! So cute and such fun to use.

On the Wings of Love

Here is a card I have made using an image by The Paper Shelter . I LOVE him!!! So cute and funny!

I have used Promarkers to colour him in. I have added some glossy accents to his glasses.
He is mounted on some nestabilities. The papers are DCWV, Rock Star. They have such a lovely feel to them as they have a raised furry texture. The sentiments are from Inkadinkado.
The ribbon and flowers are from my stash. I have added some distress stickles. The beautiful big red heart came free with the packaging of my order I made to Art from the Heart! Perfect!

Sundays with Crissy DT Call

Sundays with Crissy DT CAll!. That's right Crissy Armstrong is having a DT Call!

I have made a sideways easel card. (Please see my blog for a tutorial) The papers are by K and Co.
The wonderful image is coloured using Promarkers. I have mounted the image on to Nesties using Coredinations card, which I have distressed. I have used Distress Ink around the image.
The little rose clip on the bow is a hair clip but I thought it was perfect for this card! The flowers and leaves are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I love the little bear charm! I thought he was so cute so wanted to hang him from the Number 1.
I have used a Tim Holtz swirl die and a Martha Stewart punch. the ribbon and lace are from my stash.
I then completed the card with some liquid pearls randomly on the spot paper.

I loved making this and I will be giving it to my Niece for her 1st Birthday.

It's Tuesday and that means Free Week Time at Daisy Doodles. I have used this beautiful image from the Wedded Bliss Set.

I have used Promarkers to colour my image. I have edged the image with distress inks and used nestabilities to cut around the image.
I cut arounf the front center of my card the make a triangle shape. The papers are K & Co. I then added some lace, flowers and a little horseshoe charm, perfect for this image!
The flowers also have some green glass hearts in them.

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day xx I had a little hop around today as Kenny K are having a Birthday Hop! As I finished the hop I pooped in to the Kenny K Store (Well it would be rude not too lol!) This is one of the stamps I brought. I have made a card for my cousin's 40th Birthday.

I made a sideways easel card (see my tutorial post below). I added some flowers, a ceramic heart button, Flourish, flowers and ribbon.

I added a Happy Birthday stamp and a little "Wish" embellishment to look like she is holding it along with the bags.

Sideways Easel Card Tutorial

I Love making Easel Cards! Recently I learnt how to make a Sideways Easel Card. I was asked how to make it so here you go!

You will need:
8x8 inch Card
An extra piece of white card stock
Scoreboard or Trimmer
Bone folder
To decorate:
Pattern paper
Image (Daisy Doodles!)
Ribbon
Flowers
Edge punch
Leaves

1. Take a 8 x 8 inch card. Open up as portrait, shown below

2. Lay the card in the paper trimmer, the top section of the card and score diagonally from the top left corner to bottom right, .
3. Use the bone folder to make the crease. Put the card to one side.
4. Take the extra piece of card stock and cut to 8 x 8 Inch square.
5. I always Layer up with the matts before assembling my card. So put all your layers on to the base card and on to the front piece you have just cut.
6. Make sure that when you make your "buffer" you place it at a diagonal as shown above.
7. Add your image and embellishments as shown above.
8. Attach the 8 x 8 inch section to the folded card, as shown.

Karen's Doodles DT Call!

I have been waiting a long time for this call! Yes it's the Karen's Doodles DT Call!

I LOVE Karen's images as do I believe most of the crafting world do!

Have have made this card for the call. It's called Peek a boo! So cute and one of my favourites................. well they all are but never mind lol!

I have coloured him with Promarkers. The shape of the card is a sideways easel (Look out for my tutorial posted here soon!) This style of card gives you lots of room to embellish!

Can you see the wonderful bear charm! I picked him up from my local Primark! The panel behind the bow that he is hanging from has been embossed.

I have used lots of lace on this card as I wanted to give that baby feel lol xx

I have added some distress stickles to the flowers and ribbon, I love this effect.

I used a punch on the buffer to give an interesting look. The papers are K and Co. I added flowers, liquid pearls and some flourishes...... oh and a pin!

Summer Time at Daisy Doodles!

It's Monday and that means Challenge Time at Daisy Doodles. I am very excited this week as this challenge is very special to me. It marks my first year with Daisy Doodles! It has been a wonderful year full of brilliant challenges and fantasic telented people who have become and will stay my friends (I hope! lol xx).

This weeks challenge is "Summer"

This is my card and to mark my special year birthday I have used the same image I used on my very first card!

I have made a sideways easel card. The hamock has been coloured using Promarkers.
I then used some nestabilities to cut around the image. I left the nesties on and used distress inks to fill in the sand and sea/sky. I love this effect, I picked it up from my lovely team mate Jo. Thanks Jo xx
I have also ysed Daisy Doodles Sun and clouds and flipflops images.
The shells were hand picked for my by my 2 Nephews that live in Protugal, thanks you my beautiful boys!

Birthday Book

Here is a birthday book I made for my sister. I have used the tutorial by Jill, my team mate at Ellephantasic. The image is a Mabel Lucie Attwell one called Walkies, by The Artistic Stamper.

I started by covering the covers with paper and I then edged them with distress ink (Spice Marmalade). I then took a piece of kitchen towel and used re-inkers in spice marmalade to soak in to the kitchen towel. I then covered it with clear embossing powder. I added the sheet to the covers and cover that with glossy accents. I then added the image, stamped around the covers. The stamps and sentiment are by Hels Sheridan.

I then added the flowers, leaves and ribbons and fibres. I also popped on some distress stickels.

Rocking Heart!

It's Tuesday!! That means Ta bu Tuesday time at Daisy Doodles . This week I decided to use the rocking heart......... now I believe this is a freebie over at the Daisy Doodles Store ....... ;0) xx

I have used Promarkers to colour the hearts and highlighted the wings with stickles.
I added these cute guitar embellishments and some heart confetti!
I then popped on the "We Rock" letters and added some stickles to them too!
I hope you like this card, I think it is quite fun xx

Hi ! I'm back with another stunning image I purchased from Just some Lines. It was the cute little face peering from under the big hat! I love it.

I have used promarkers to colour her. The punches used are from Martha Stewart. I have edged the image with liquid pearls.
The flowers and leaves are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I have added some distress stickles to them to give a little shimmer. The glass hearts are also from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The "Love" Stamp is from Inkadinkado.

Hi Friends!

While out and about in blog land entering challenges, I came across some wonderful images by Just Some Lines. I picked up a few of them (well it would have been rude not to lol!) This is one of them. Isn't she cute! She makes me think of how my little Niece will look in a couple of years.

I have used Promarkers to colour her. The papers are by K & Co. The flowers and leaves are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The "Dreamer" stamp is from Inkadinkado.
The ribbon and the liquid pearls are from my stash.

Creative Expressions Calling Card Challenge

Hi there crafty peeps!

Here is a card I made for the Creative Expressions Calling Card Challenge! Pop over to Creative Expressions for details. I have listed below the items you will need to make it and some instructions. I would love to see if you joined in! Leave me a message and I will come and have a look xx

You will need:-

8in by 8in card

Embossing folder

Tim Holtz stamp set

Idea-Ology

Buttons

Coredinations card

ATC Blank

Twine/raffia

Clock parts

Clock faces

2 Distress ink pads

Stazon ink in black

Distress stickles

Glue

Crackle accents

1. Ink the edges of an 8 by 8 inch card with Tea Die Distress Ink.

2. Ink over the Tea die ink in the same way with Vintage photo distress ink to get two tones.

3. Do the same with the ATC, I used a stamp board ATC to give some dimension.

4. Take a piece of Coredination card, cut to size. Make it a colour which tones in but is different in colour to stand out. Choose an embossing folder, I chose a stunning folder from Creative Expressions, with gears and clocks.

5. Put though your die cut/embossing machine. When embossed, sand it a little then go over the card with Vintage photo ink to blend the tone a bit more.

6. Stamp your chosen stamps on to the edge of the stamp blank and the ATC as shown above in Black Stazon. I then over stamped to give a shadow effect with distress tea die ink. Do the same with the ATC.

7. Mount the embossed card on to the card blank and add your embellishments as shown above. I have highlighted the "LIFE" using Tim Holtz fragments on both the card and the ATC. I then added the gears and clock parts. I made a hole in the ATC and put a chain in it to attach the the embellishment of raffia and Tim Holtz tag. You can use whatever takes your fancy! I have used Crackle accents to stick down the clear clock face, it gives it some interest

8. I then finished off with some distress stickles! Well why not! lol xx

Daisy Doodles Stars and Stripes!

It's Monday!! That means challenge time at Daisy Doodles . This weeks challenge is Stars and Stripes!

Here is my card, I thought I would add a little twist to the theme!

I have used, Feelin' Bad Freddy. As you know I love Freddy! I printed the image on to 2 different papers and then on to white card.
I then cut out the first layer in the Stripes, the second layer in the stars and layered it on the first.
I used Tim Holtz inks to colour freddy and then he was layered on top. I finished with some stamping on the base card along with some embellishments!

I have been travelling around blog land and I have treated myself to some new images. One of the places I stopped was Polly Craft and I'm so glad I did!! I picked up 2 sets and this wonderful freebie!!

There are such talented designers out there in blog land and I have just treated myself to some STUNNING images from The Paper Shelter . Wow oh wow! I just love them!
I have used Promarkers to colour my image. She is mounted on some Nestibilities, the silver one has been embossed.

The Dior Ribbon was from a perfume bottle but I thought it was perfect!
The papers were free with a magazine and the ribbon and bling are from my stash. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Lia Stampz DT Call

I was completely blown away by these quirky digital stamps by Lia Stampz ! She is having a DT Call and I just had to try out! Go and check out her blog for details. You are sent a free image to use. The one I was sent is the larger image called KIKI! So so cute!! and so different!

Because I am also a member of the Lia Stampz group on CDAC I got another freebie! The little image is soooooooo much fun and is call Hammi.
I have used Promarkers to colour the images. I then used the Grand Caliber Machine with large nesties to cut out the main image and a smaller nestie to go around Hammi.
I used Tim Holtz inks around the card and images and stamped some leaves and a sentiment using Wendy Vechi stamps.
I then added some liquid pearl paint, flowers and a little bling!
I really hope Lia Stampz likes my creation! Fingers crossed xx

Ahoy Matey!!!

I just LOVE this set of digi stamps from Daisy Doodles !

You can make such beautiful cards with them and not just cards, you can make, birthday sets like invitations, put the images on cake boxes, party bags etc.

The Pirate theme is so popular!

This card is a 3 way easel card. I spotted the idea from the Card Making with my PC magazine and I plan to send this card to them as the idea for the 3 way easel is brilliant. I also used some of their papers from the CD which I believe are from Funky Hand.
Well our Freddy Pirate and his friend are coloured using promarkers. I have used some thin rope for the charm embellishments.
I have then finished off with some gems for the jewels!

The "Ahoy Matey" is also from the set.

I have not been around for a while and so to be back using this brilliant set was fantastic!

Spring has Sprung at Daisy Doodles!

It's challenge time over at Daisy Doodles The theme is Spring!. I have used the wonderful Daffodil Image. I love this! It can be used for birthday, Mothers day, Easter, sympathy cards, and many many more. I have gone from a contemporary feel to my Spring card as I wanted to bring out the black of the sentiment, which is also from Daisy Doodles. I have used Promarkers to colour the image. I have used Tim Holtz inks for the edge of the card stock. I have made the shape of the card using spellbinders dies. I then finished off with some dragonflies. Come and play along with us. I can't wait to see your work!

Just the right image for the Grow! The best thing is you can make the colour any you want to, so if you have a new baby coming, choose the colour theme to match!

I added a little green ribbon with a pink flower to match the colours I chose of Amy.

Embellishment Challenge over on CDAC

I was lucky enough to be able to make a card for the Embellishment challenge over on the CDAC site on behalf of Daisy Doodles Go and check out to details Here You will get a fabulous freebie image too!

This adorable image will be given FREE to enable you to join in the challenge. I have used Promarkers to colour the image. I have then edged the image with distress ink.
I used the same colour distress ink to colour my ribbon. The papers are K & Co. I have added some beautiful butterflies.
I then completed the card by adding some buttons and some gems to look as if the butterflies are in flight.

One World One Heart

This is my giveaway for the wonderful One World One Heart event, sadly its the last one. Anyway, I am Tina Barnett and I love craft of any kind! Altered Art, Card Making, Scrap booking you name it!

I have made this piece using rangers frames and my melt pot.
The frame was set on to a background stamp from The Artistic Stamper. The smaller frame has a jewel embedded in to it.

I used mould and pour to make the dragonfly. The little heart is also made with UTEE. I then used some grunge wings coated in vintage distress ink and stamped with the same script background stamp, I lastly added the "LOVE",

I have used nesties for the shape. The image is a freebie, so good grab yours! I have used promarkers to colour.

It'sssssss Playtime :) At Daisy Doodles!!!!!!!!!!!

In the near future we will be having a game of bingo again. We have done this in the past and as it was successful, we've decided to have another game.

I have used Promarkers to colour, and distress inks for the background card, which has been stamped using Tim Holtz stamps.
I also distressed the different die cut layers. Finished off with a sentiment, ribbon, butterflies and gems!

Sentiment and Red

Here is my card from the new challenge at Daisy Doodles This week the challenge is to use a sentiment as the main focus and to use Red.

Oh how much I enjoyed this!! I have used a sentiment from the wonderful Valentine/Love set.

The paper is also from Daisy Doodles! It comes in a set of wonderful designs called Hearts and Roses, perfect for Valentines Day or weddings or anniversaries.
I have added some black butterflies and a beautiful Red Ribbon.
I have used nestabilities to frame the sentiment and edged the sentiment with distress ink. I then completed the card with a red rose.

Here is my card from the Anything goes challenge at Daisy Doodles

I have used the double horseshoe image. This is brilliant as it can be for Valentines, Weddings, Anniversaries and so on..............

I have used Tim Holtz inks to colour. I have layered up the image to give a different effect.

I have stamped the background with a stamp from Tim Holtz and used his grunge board swirls!

I then finished with liquid pearls and a beautiful red heart.

Here is the card I made. I have used Promarkers to colour. The image had been mounted on the different size nestabilities (using my new Grand Caliber machine! I'm so excited!) I have then edged the layers and the main card with Tim Holtz distress inks.
I have made up my own sentiment :0) xx This was then edged in liquid pearls.
I have used some Tim Holtz stamps for the background. I then fished off with some ribbon from my stash.

"Wings" Altered Bottle

Hi Gang!

Well if you are like me, once Christmas is over you may have one or two empty bottles laying around :0) xx

I thought to myself................ this bottle is crying out to be altered! So that's exactly what I did lol!

Here is the "before" bottle, you may recognise it!
I started with Tim Holtz alcohol inks, blending and building up the colours directly on to the bottle. I then used a momento ink pad and stamped a butterfly on the bottle.

I chose some Tim Holtz Harlequin grunge board and coloured with the same inks used on the bottle. I then randomly chose different diamonds on the grunge board to colour with a metallic paint. I then went a little Melt Pot mad! I love love love to use my melt pot. I picked some background stamps, some from my stash some new ones from The Artistic Stamper, and some molds. I love to add embellishments inside the melted embossing powder, it just added some thing different.

I added a chain around the neck and dangled a melt pot embellishment from it using a rangers frame. I then finished off the lid with bronze paint, stamping a match butterfly on top and adding more melt pot art.

Lastly I made the bottle a little more regal looking buy adding a few liquid pearl dots.

On to my card, I have used Promarkers to colour. The papers are K & Co. I have made a different shaped card this time. I have added a piece of card stock to the center and punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
I have added liquid pearls to the edge of the image and around the shaped part of the main card. I added a ribbon with a charm and pin. To make the pin safe I have put a flower at the end.
I then added some lace to the top of the card along with a heart and some flowers.

Craft Your Passion - Sketch

This is my 4th card as Guest Designer for Craft Your Passion

We had a sketch to follow this week and what a fab sketch too!

I choose to go Christmas Pink! My stunning image is coloured with Promarkers.
I have used different pink coloured card. I have edged the image and other areas with liquid pearls and distress stickles.
I have coloured some wooden snowflakes with pink liquid pearls and used them as embellishments.

My wonderful image is coloured with Promarkers and then edged in distress ink.
I have distressed the edges of the papers too. I then added some ribbon and pearls.
I then finished off with some charms.

Daisy Doodles 12 Days of Christmas - Reindeer

Daisy Doodles is having a 12 Days of Christmas Raffle. Each day for 12 Days there will be one card featured at Daisy's Digi Doodles using a stamp from her new ... not yet released ... "12 Days of Christmas" Stamp Set. Today my card is featured.... it will be at the end of this post. For every stamp that is purchased you will receive a raffle ticket number to go in the hat for a drawing. Their will be one ticket a day drawn for 12 days to win a fabulous stamp!All the tickets will go back in the hat and on the 13th day (November 23rd) is the Raffle Drawing. The winner will get the not yet released "12 Days of Christmas" Stamp Set just in time for Christmas" PLUS a $10.00 Gift Certificate to spend in the store.I was given the Reindeer from this set and here is my card

I have used Promarkers to colour. The punch is Martha Stewart.
I then added some ribbon.
To finish I stamped the sentiment.
I like the simple theme to this card. Hope you like it too. xx

Anything but a card is the challenge over at Patties Creations

I have used a wonderful image from Patties Creations .

I have used Promarkers to colour this little cutie.

Well I had fun with this challenge lol! I started with a box. Then added some punched card stock. The boarders are punched using the new We are Memory Keeps, Crop A Dile 3! Have you tried this yet?
I then added some lace to the blue boarders.
I then went embellishment mad! Adding flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and my own stash. Some feathers and some wooden vine type embellishments.
I then added some bows! The image inspired me! I love the bright blue and brown together.
I will be using this box to put a gift inside for my Mum's Birthday.

Baby Boy

My Mum asked me to make a card to send to her friend who's Grandson has just had a baby.

I have been waiting to use my new stamps and CD my lovely husband brought for me. They were supposed to be for Christmas but he gave them to me to cheer me up, love him xx

They are the fabulous Swalk stamps and CD, by Crafters Companion.

I love this little baby! I have used Promarkers to colour him. The papers and tag are from the CD. I have printed a gingham design on to Velum.
I have added a little sentiment and the name Jack to the little tag on the main image.
I then added some ribbon, flowers, a ribbon gem and some pearls.

I have also made an insert, using a verse from the CD.
I have used a Martha Stewart punch for the bottom boarder and for the corners of the main piece of paper.
